Morning Session: Culturally Relevant Pedagogical Practices in ECE: Supporting Newcomer Families and Children to Foster Belonging and Wellbeing in Early Learning and Childcare with Nidhi Menon This interactive session invites Early Childhood Educators to engage in critical reflection and dialogue about supporting newcomer families and children in early learning environments. Grounded in love, commitment, emotional professionalism, and culturally relevant pedagogy, this session will create space to share practices, generate ideas, and build strategies that nurture belonging and wellbeing. Together, we will consider how diverse perspectives can enrich our work and open new possibilities for building strong, inclusive relationships within communities. Afternoon Session: Mentoring Matter: Supporting Growth in Every Role with Marcia Nicole Whether welcoming new colleagues or guiding students in placement, mentorship is a vital and often informal part of early learning. This session explores how to approach mentorship with intentionality, empathy, and clarity fostering professional growth for both the mentor and mentee. Educators will be invited to see their daily interactions as opportunities to lead, support, and inspire.
