Exp 08 AM: Leadership Synergy: Maximizing Potential in the Modern Workplace & Finding Balance: Work, Life & Everything In Between (Work/Life Balance Tips)

**Please note: This experience is for Directors, Supervisors and Leaders!**

Morning Session: As directors struggle with the recruitment and retention of early learning and childcare staff, it is often difficult to find time to review the causative nature of this challenge and to brainstorm effective solutions. Through sharing of director/managers and facilitator experiences, this session will guide participants through an interactive discussion of proactive considerations and potential remedies for this common issue. 

Topics to be examined include leading a cross-generational team, current ‘cost’ of staff turn-over, the importance of ‘on-boarding’ staff, leveraging the ‘talent pool’ within the centre, supporting staff performance through a management cycle and, using creative ‘non-financial perks’ to boost staff’s external motivation.

Afternoon Session: Balancing the demands of work and life can feel especially challenging in a profession centred around caring for others. This interactive session will explore practical, realistic strategies for managing stress, setting boundaries, protecting personal well-being, and creating more balance in everyday life. Participants will have opportunities to reflect, connect, and leave with simple tools they can use both at work and at home — without the pressure of trying to achieve a “perfect” work/life balance.
