The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is a provincial, non-profit organization committed to promoting and supporting quality early childhood development programs and services for our Island’s children & families. Our mission: All Island children between infancy and five (5) years of age will have access to a sustainable Provincial Early Childhood Education system that is available, affordable, and of high quality. Please note that the ECDA is not a bilingual organization; however we do provide respectful services and a number of resources and functions in French.

ECDA Members, we’re excited to invite you and your families to our 2025 ECDA Summer Beach Party, a fun, casual get-together just for members! Come enjoy the sun, the sand, and great company at one of PEI’s most beautiful National Parks. Join us in celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community at the annual PEI Pride Parade! As a proud partner of Pride PEI and committed to supporting families of all backgrounds, ECDA encourages educators, centre teams, parents, children, and community members to walk with us in this year's parade! Who Can Join: ECDA members, families, children, friends, and all Early Learning Professionals & community supporters What to Bring/Know: Wear rainbow colours or ECDA apparel for visibility and pride spirit. Stay hydrated, bring sunscreen, comfy shoes, and come ready to dance and connect! Plan for a fun, family-friendly march. Expect lively music, colourful floats, and cheering spectators lining the street of downtown Charlottetown We’ll add more details to this page a week before the parade. Cost to Participate: Free! By walking together, we not only celebrate Pride but also affirm ECDA’s commitment to inclusive early childhood environments.
