This event has been approved by the Early Learning and Child Care Board for 1.50 professional development training hours.
  • Payment Policy

    To ensure your spot is secured, all Professional Development fees must be paid in full prior to the event. If you are paying individually you are required to pay at the time of registration.

    Exceptions: We allow flexibility for council or board-run centers requiring additional time for check approvals/signatures. Please contact us in advance if this applies to you. Payment is due one week before the event start date.

    *If you are mailing a cheque, please allow a few days ahead of the deadline for it to be received by the ECDA office. Our mailing address is: PO Box 2002, RPO Sherwood, PE C1A 9E3

  • Media Disclaimer

  • Refund Policy
    All purchases and sales are final and non-refundable
     
    Exceptions may be made solely at the discretion of management in the event of documented extenuating circumstances received in advance of the event.
     
    Please note that any approved refunds may be subject to a holdback fee of up to 20% to cover non-reimbursable administrative and processing costs. This holdback fee also applies to all duplicate payment refunds.

La séance d’information de la Commission des droits de la personne de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard présentera la Commission aux participants et répondra à la question suivante : qui sommes-nous et que faisons-nous ? Nous aborderons plus spécifiquement les sujets suivants :

  • Rôle de la Commission des droits de la personne de l’Î.-P.-É.
  • Droits couverts par la Human Rights Act (loi sur les droits de la personne) de l’Île
  • Discrimination selon la Human Rights Act de l’Île
  • Obligation d’adaptation

 

Commission Bio:

The Prince Edward Island Human Rights Commission (PEIHRC) is an independent agency that is responsible for administering and enforcing the Prince Edward Island Human Rights Act. The Act prohibits unequal and prejudicial treatment in certain areas on the basis of certain personal characteristics, also known as prohibited grounds of discrimination. A team of dedicated staff members are responsible for the daily operations of the Commission including education, investigation, complaint resolution, and advising government.
