To put this into perspective for someone working in an office – imagine managing a whole team on your own and then one day you receive an assistant. This assistant helps you to be a better leader, more efficient, creative, organized, and even helps you to feel more regulated and ready to take on big stressful tasks. Things are going well in your team, people are happy and productive. Then one day you don’t have money for this assistant anymore. You have to do everything yourself again. Your health suffers, your team suffers, people are not as happy anymore and work productivity and quality goes down. IMAGINE this happens to a workforce that is taking care of society’s most vulnerable people, children. We need to take care of the people that are caring for our vulnerable sector. These types of cuts need to be reassessed. This will ripple out and everyone will feel it.
