My two children attend Chances at St. Jean and have been cared for by so many incredible educators and pedagogical support staff. My daughter has recently been under the care of Navdeep Rani, Pedagogical Support, at Chanced and there isn’t enough room on this page for me to describe how incredible she is. She fills a much needed role and does such a wonderful job fulfilling that role and caring for all of the children at Chances. Every day I see how important she is to my daughter and the other children in her group and it is so obvious how much she loves them and they love her. The ECE staff at Chances are amazing and cutting funding for their colleagues will have a negative impact on them too.

I understand budget cuts have to come from somewhere and hard decisions need to be made but this wasn’t the hard decision to make. Cutting funding for pedagogical support has a negative domino effect on staff, centers, children, parents and eventually the workforce and the economy. I urge the Government to reconsider this funding cut.
