Temporary Early Childhood Educator – Smart Start Kensington CHANCES Family Centre About the Role We are seeking a certified Early Childhood Educator (ECI, ECA, or ECE) to join our dedicated team at Smart Start Kensington on a temporary basis. In this role, you will create a welcoming, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. You will design and deliver meaningful, play-based learning experiences that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will also build strong, trusting relationships with families, supporting parents and caregivers as active partners in their child’s learning and development. Collaboration is central to our work. You will work closely with the Early Learning team to plan, implement, and reflect on programming that meets the diverse needs of the children and families we serve. This temporary position is ideal for someone who is passionate about early learning, values teamwork, and is motivated to make a positive impact in their community. What You’ll Do Plan and deliver engaging, child-centred activities Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development Communicate openly and positively with parents and caregivers Help new families feel welcomed, supported, and involved Collaborate with the Early Learning team to support high-quality programming

Required Skills
Two year diploma or degree with ECE component Standard First Aid Food Safety Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Required Experience
Previous experience in an early learning or child care setting is considered an asset, but not required. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow in this role.
