Inclusion Support Worker – Smart Start O’Leary CHANCES Family Centre About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Inclusion Support Worker to join our team at Smart Start O’Leary. In this role, you will work closely with children who have additional needs, supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development within a safe and welcoming early learning environment. You will also build positive relationships with families, collaborating with them as active partners in their child’s growth and learning. As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will work alongside the Early Childhood and Early Learning Teams to provide individualized support and help every child participate fully in programs. What You’ll Do Support children with additional needs in daily programs and activities, adapting learning experiences to meet individual needs Implement and document individualized programs in collaboration with families and professionals (e.g., speech pathologists, occupational therapists) Promote independence, social skills, and emotional development for children with additional needs Guide children in daily routines such as eating, dressing, and bathroom habits Provide opportunities for positive social interaction and play-based learning Build trusting relationships with children and families, supporting parents as active partners in learning Collaborate with the Early Learning team and participate in team meetings and planning Contribute to a positive, supportive, and inclusive team culture Who You Are Passionate about supporting children with additional needs A team player who enjoys collaborating with families and colleagues Patient, flexible, and adaptable in a dynamic early learning environment Committed to promoting inclusive practices and child-centered learning
Required Skills
Two year diploma or degree with ECE component
Standard First Aid
Food Safety
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Required Experience
Previous experience in an early learning or child care setting is considered an asset, but not required. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow in this role.
