Directors, spend the day learning with Jacqueline Ewonus!
The goal for this day is for participants to feel more confident in their role as leaders/managers, to think more deeply about their relationships with those they work alongside and to consider new perspectives. In a collaborative community format participants will utilize the collective experience in the room to reflect on aspects of their practice, and identify values important to their work.
Our time together we will consider how we build a cohesive team and ensure effective communication to and from our educators; which at times may include conflict. Mentoring and understanding the context in which our educators show up each day will strengthen relationships and provide an environment where educators feel valued and supported in the work they do.
We will explore how we create a culture of learning and unlearning, inspiring educators to be leaders in ways that are meaningful and authentic?
Pedological leadership involves inspiring and being inspired by children and colleagues, embracing daily challenges, and reflecting on our practice. In facilitated groups we will reflect on what administrative shifts we can make to enhance the image of the educator, fostering team-wide growth, job satisfaction, and retention within a distributed leadership model.
The facilitator will pose reflective questions to promote a deeper understanding of pedological leadership practices. Together, participants and the presenter will explore specific challenges and work toward realistic next steps for their own environments.
